Million Miles Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”)
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE, TRANSACTION, OBLIGATION OR CREDIT APPLICATION NECESSARY TO ENTER. A PURCHASE, TRANSACTION, OBLIGATION OR CREDIT APPLICATION DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES, AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. VOID IN PUERTO RICO WHERE PROHIBITED.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (having a valid Social Security Number (SSN)), 18 years of age or older at time of entry (each an “Entrant” or “Participant”). Officers, directors, employees and agents of Barclays Bank Delaware (“Barclays” or “Sponsor”), American Airlines, Inc. and Mastercard® International Incorporated (“Mastercard”), their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies, Marden-Kane, Inc. (the “Administrator”) (collectively, the “Releasees”), and the immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in households of each, whether or not related, are ineligible. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify Participants who violate these official rules (the “Official Rules”) or interfere with the Sweepstakes in any manner. If a Participant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate that Participant’s eligibility to participate in this Sweepstakes. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law. This Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00am Eastern Time (ET) on August 1, 2024 and ends at 11:59:59pm (ET) on October 31, 2024 (the “Sweepstakes Period”) and is further divided into three (3) Monthly Entry Periods (each an “Monthly Entry Period(s)”) as defined in the chart below. The Sponsor runs the official clock for the Sweepstakes and will solely determine the time by which an entry is received.

All entries must be received by the dates defined in the Chart above and will be included in the Monthly drawing for the Month the entry was received as well as subsequent Drawings.
TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter.
Limit one (1) Entry per person using only one (1) email address throughout the Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from any person or email address in excess of the stated limitation will be void. Any attempt by any Entrant to submit more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email accounts, identities, or any other method will void that Entrant's Entry(ies) and that Entrant may be disqualified.
PRIZES: Three (3) Grand Prizes (each, a "Grand Prize" awarded one prize per month): Each Grand Prize Winner (each, a "Grand Prize Winner") will receive 1,000,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $22,400 each. Plus, each Grand Prize Winner will also receive a check in the amount of $7,600 that may be used to assist with the payment of associated taxes ("Tax Assistance"). Value (“V”): $7,600 each. Depending upon the Grand Prize Winner’s federal tax rate, this amount may only cover a portion of the tax liability owed. Please consult a tax professional for more information. Maximum ARV of each Grand Prize $30,000. Total ARV of all Prizes: $90,000.
Additional conditions of Grand Prizes:
If AAdvantage® miles are redeemed for air transportation, the following additional terms and conditions apply. Grand Prize Winner is responsible for the full cost of transportation to and from their departure and arrival city. Grand Prize Winner is responsible for any and all applicable fees, service charges, surcharges or passenger facility charges and all insurance costs, federal, state, local and foreign taxes, if any, gratuities, meals, incidentals, and any other unspecified expenses associated with acceptance or use of the AAdvantage® miles. AAdvantage® flight awards are subject to, and the passenger will be responsible for, the September 11th Security Fee of $5.60 per one-way trip, per passenger, applicable departure taxes, federal inspection fees, passenger facility charges of up to $18.00, depending on itinerary, and any other taxes and fees imposed by a government entity (U.S. or foreign) of up to $240 based on destination; total may vary slightly based upon currency exchange rate at time of purchase, as well as any fees or surcharges (including fuel surcharges) imposed by the carrier. U.S. government excise tax is a user tax to pay for airport construction and airway safety and operations. If ticketing is less than 21 days prior to departure, passengers will be responsible for a $75.00 expedite charge will apply (waived for AAdvantage® Executive Platinum, AAdvantage® Platinum and AAdvantage® Gold members using miles from their account). The passenger will also be responsible for a ticketing service charge of up to $40.00 will apply when ticketing via Reservations, American Airlines Travel Center or an Airport Ticket Office. (The ticketing service charge is waived for involuntary changes, reissued tickets, AAdvantage® award tickets issued within 21 days of travel and an expedite charge has been collected, AAirpass® tickets, Government/military fare tickets, and prepaid tickets.) Some of these taxes, fees and other amounts may be due upon booking/ticketing the AAdvantage® award travel. American Airlines AAdvantage® miles will be credited to the AAdvantage® account of Grand Prize Winner or may be provided in the form of a Certificate; the Grand Prize Winner must provide a valid AAdvantage® membership number in order to receive the mileage credit. American Airlines AAdvantage® miles awarded in this Sweepstakes will not earn loyalty points toward status qualification, AAdvantage Million Milers status or any other promotional benefit that American Airlines may offer in the AAdvantage® program. Grand Prize Winners who are not AAdvantage® members may join at no cost online at www.aa.com and click on AAdvantage® or by calling the AAdvantage® membership desk at 1-800-882-8880. The credited miles may thereafter be redeemed in any manner consistent with the AAdvantage® program Terms and Conditions, which are subject to change at any time without notice and can be found at www.aa.com/aadvantage when you click on Program Details and then click on AAdvantage® Terms and Conditions. Determination of income tax liability on AAdvantage® travel awards is the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winners. American Airlines may, among other things, (i) withdraw, limit, modify, or cancel any award; (ii) change program benefits, mileage levels, participant affiliations, conditions of participation, rules for earning, redeeming, retaining or forfeiting mileage credit, or rules for the use of travel awards; or (iii) add travel embargo dates, limit the number of seats available for award travel (including, but not limited to, allocating no seats on certain flights) or otherwise restrict the continued availability of travel awards or special offers. American Airlines reserves the right to change the AAdvantage® program and its terms and conditions at any time without notice, and to end the AAdvantage® program with six months’ notice. American Airlines may make any one or more of these changes at any time even though such changes may affect your ability to use the mileage credit or awards that you have already accumulated. AAdvantage® travel awards, accrued mileage credits and special offers are subject to government regulations. Neither Sponsor nor American Airlines or its “Airline Associates” (American Eagle or the American Connection® carrier) are liable for any expense incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay. Travel is subject to availability and certain other restrictions, which are subject to change in the sole discretion of American Airlines. Flight schedules subject to change without notice. Voucher terms and conditions, and bylaws for use and redemption will apply. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied by Sponsor.
SPECIAL CAUTION: COVID-19: Each Grand Prize Winner understands and agrees that travel is inherently dangerous due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic which is a highly contagious and communicable disease; and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, each assumes all risks of illness or injury which may arise directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from prize related travel and activities. Additionally, each Grand Prize Winner understands and agrees that, in response to economic and/or social conditions caused by COVID-19/Coronavirus, Sponsor and/or prize provider may be compelled to cancel the trip and/or the Sweepstakes with little (if any) advanced notice.
GENERAL PRIZE CONDITIONS: All Prizes are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) by Sponsor. Grand Prize Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes as well as all costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being awarded. No prize substitutions, cash equivalents or transfer of prizes are permitted, except by Sponsor in their sole discretion. If, for any reason, a prize is unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right, where legal, to award a prize of equal or greater value. Limit of one Prize per person. AAdvantage® miles will be deposited into each Winner’s AAdvantage® Accounts 8-10 weeks from prize confirmation.
Odds of winning a Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received in each Monthly Entry Period. No more than the stated number of Prizes above will be awarded, provided a sufficient number of qualified eligible entries are received during the Monthly Entry Period. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
WINNER SELECTION: Monthly drawings will be conducted on or about the dates listed in the Chart above from among all eligible entries received (applications and mail-ins) under the direction of Marden-Kane, Inc., an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION: The Potential Prize Winners (a “Potential Winner”) will be notified within three (3) business days after each drawing date via email. The Potential Prize Winners will be required to complete, sign and properly execute (including notarization) an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (where applicable by law), and, an IRS-W9 Form and, if necessary, furnish his/her Social Security number that will be used only for the purpose of reporting the Grand Prize Winner’s prize earnings to the Internal Revenue Service, as required by law; and return them by mail within five (5) days to Administrator. If a Potential Winner does not return the required documents within the stated timeframe, they will be disqualified, and an alternate Potential Winner will be selected as described above. In the event of non-compliance with these rules, or if the prize or prize notification is unclaimed or returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, awarded to an alternate Potential Winner, time permitting. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given. If the prize is won by an eligible individual who is not of the legal age of majority in the state of residence (minor), the required documents must be confirmed and signed by Potential Winner’s parent or legal guardian, and the prize will be awarded in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian, who will be required to fulfill all requirements imposed on the winner set forth herein. For tax purposes, the prize value will be treated as miscellaneous income and will be reported to the IRS on Form 1099-MISC in the year in which the prize is received. Except where prohibited by law, the Grand Prize Winners entries and acceptance of the prizes constitute permission for the Sponsor to use said Grand Prize Winner’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, and biographical information including but not limited to the posting of Grand Prize Winners’ names on the Sponsor’s website(s), in a Winners' List or other online announcements for advertising and promotional purposes for this and similar promotions, worldwide, and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised (including and without limitation, the Internet) without additional compensation, notification, or permission, without further compensation. Upon request, Grand Prize Winner must consent to such in writing.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants, or, if minors in his/her state of jurisdiction, their parent or legal guardian, agree to the use by Sponsor and its designees of their names, and photographs/likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes for this and similar promotions, worldwide, and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised (including and without limitation, the Internet) without additional compensation except where prohibited by law. Participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, Mastercard, participating prize partners, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, Marden-Kane, Inc., and each of the foregoing's respective employees, officers, directors and shareholders from any claims, actions, injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or from the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize awarded. U.S. law governs this Sweepstakes. Notice to online Participants: Internet access and usage charges applicable to a Participant’s account, including local, long distance, 800/888* access charges and/or any usage charges applicable under Participant’s Internet pricing plan and any applicable taxes will continue to apply while a Participant is online in connection with this Sweepstakes, and will be the sole responsibility of such Participant. Electronically reproduced, illegible, incomplete or inaccurate entries are void. Releasees are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human or printing error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or web site, or any other error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to Participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes, or for late, lost, stolen, illegible or misdirected or inaccurate entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the Sponsor's opinion the Sweepstakes is not able to run through completion for reasons which may include, without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, including any other factors beyond Sponsor's reasonable control such as a force majeure event (e.g., war, riots, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, blackouts, supply shortages, order of governmental authority,) an “act of God” (e.g., natural disasters, weather, etc.) or an unforeseeable health event (e.g. pandemic or epidemic), then the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part, without further liability to the Entrants or third parties. In the event the Sweepstakes is canceled prior to the stated end date, a notice will be posted at https://Aviator1MM.com; and Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes from among all eligible non-suspect Entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancelation. Caution: Any attempt by a Participant or any other individual to deliberately damage any online service or web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: UNLESS PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE RELEASEES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM ANY WEBSITES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES.
PRIVACY: Information collected from Entrant is used only for the purposes set forth in the entrant’s acknowledgment, and will not be re-used, sold or shared in any manner by Sponsor or any third parties unless Entrant has opted-in to receive additional information and promotional material from Sponsor or a third party. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby acknowledges that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy policies located at https://cards.barclaycardus.com/banking/privacy-policy.
DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Participant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Delaware, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Delaware. In addition, any dispute relating to the Sweepstakes (including these Official Rules) shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court having jurisdiction over the subject matter located in the state of Delaware. Entrants hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have.
WHO WON: To receive the list of the Grand Prize Winners, send an email with the subject line: " Million Miles Winners" to winnerslist@mkpromosource.com. Requests must be received by November 15, 2024. The list of Grand Prize Winners will be sent after the drawings have been completed and Grand Prize Winners have been confirmed.
